Allow myself to introduce... myself.

Over my career I've have the opportunity to design products from scratch at fast-moving startups, and lead enterprise UX teams at Fortune 500 scale.

From GoToMeeting to InVision and Basecamp 3, I love building tools that help people get real work done, and enable them to do things they never thought possible.

My primary focus is UX Design, but I contribute and lead teams across the entire product design process – from strategic product management to front-end development.

I'm a huge advocate of distributed teams and thrive in a results-oriented environment. I lead by example, and I'm pretty fun to work with (if I say so myself).

I live and work in the Rocky Mountains outside of Denver, Colorado. When I'm not at my computer, I'm outside as much as possible. I love trail running in the mountains, and drinking whiskey by the fire. My formal education is in Studio Art and Graphic Design, and I have a screen printing studio in my basement where I print gig posters and t-shirts.

I also enjoy long walks on the beach, etc.

Work Experience

As the Director of Product at InVision for two years, I helped shape the overall feature-set and managed the product design process from inception to delivery. During my tenure, the InVision customer base doubled (from 1 to 2 million users).

As a Product Designer at Basecamp for two years I wore many hats – operating as a "manager of one" for new feature design and development. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of creating tools that help small businesses stay on the same page and get meaningful work done.

From 2007 – 2014 I worked as a Senior UX DesignerUX Architect, and Art Director at Citrix Systems, focusing on UX, design systems and pattern libraries for the suite of "GoTo" products (GoToMeeting, GoToMyPC, etc)
